Football and faith? Minn. church offers Vikings to get people in the door; another church offers tickets to Twins

The Associated Press reports that “at least two Minnesota churches are hoping to pack the pews by offering the chance for free tickets to Minnesota Vikings or Minnesota Twins games.”

I’m curious as to what you think about that idea. If you’re a churchgoer yourself, do you take the “whatever gets them in the door” attitude or do you think it demeans the message? If you’re not a churchgoer, would this offer be affective with you? Does it feel manipulative? What do you think?
